Closing Summary- Market Synopsis- 16 April, 2012

Major Indian indices managed to close the day in green. An opening near the day’s low and a close near the day’s high, that too, on a day when other Asian peers finished in the red and European markets grappled with worries over Spain’s financial health. Amongst all the uncertainties, the midcap and the small-cap counters closed positive by over half a percentage point each.
