The benchmark indices opened flat and slipped in the red following the indecisiveness in the broad asian peers. The asian markets were trading mixed after Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S.Bernanke refrained from committing to another round of bond buying. Sensex was trading at 17090 with a loss of 13 points while Nifty was trading at 5186 losing 7 points. Sectorally, most of the indices were seen trading mixed. Consumer Durables was leading the list with over one percent gains while Auto and Oil & Gas shed over half a percent.
