The market has opened on a flat note. The Sensex is up 46.70 points at 22598.19 and the Nifty is up 19.50 points at 6772.05. The Indian rupee is trading at 60.015, weaker against the dollar by 0.11 points or 0.19% after the last few sessions’ sharp strength. On the global front, US stocks finished in positive territory for the fourth-consecutive session on Wednesday, with the S&P 500 touching a fresh high, as investors digested a batch of economic reports. On BSE, Mid Cap is losing 26.81 points or 0.37% while Small Cap is trading almost flat with a negative bias. On Sectoral front, BSE Health Care is gaining around 2%, followed by rest of the sectors except BSE Metal and BSE FMCG which are trading in red.
Further the market breadth stands negative with 546 shares advancing against the 709 declining shares.
