The major Indian stock indices gave a flat opening in the early morning trade and are seen trading at the same levels. The Sensex is currently trading near the level of 17700 i.e., down by nearly 30 points and the Nifty is trading near the level of 5375 i.e., down by nearly 5 points. The midcap and the small-cap counters are trading positive. On the sectoral front, the indices are trading mixed. Auto index is leading the list of gainers with gains of nearly a percentage point while Metal index is leading the list of losers with losses of over a percentage point. However, the market breadth is flat as six stocks are seen advancing for every five declines.
