Closing Summary- Market Synopsis- 6 February, 2012

The Dalal street opened on a firm note today, being fuelled by an encouraging US jobs data and a bullish trend across Asian peers. In addition, rise in FIIs inflows in Indian stocks boosted the overall sentiment. However, trade was choppy with the Sensex moving in a 235 point range while the Nifty traded in a 60 point band. The broader markets were seen outperforming the benchmark indices today with gains of over one percent.
