Closing Summary- Market Synopsis- 15 February, 2012

The benchmark indices today pocketed hefty gains and ended near the day’s highs. At close, the Sensex was at 18202, up 354 points while the Nifty shut closed at 5532, adding 114 points. This was for the first time since August 2011, that the key indices breached the psychological levels of 18000 and 5500 respectively.
