Closing Summary- Market Synopsis- 9 January, 2012

The markets started the day with minor losses, and the key indices fell to intraday lows in the first hour itself. Sensex fell to a low of 15678 while Nifty made an intraday low of 4695. Thereafter, making a number of crests and troughs, the indices moved slowly towards highs and made their respective intraday high at 15871 and 4758. However, sellers pulled down the indices once again in the red, and the market ended the day almost flat with minor losses.
