Closing Summary- Market Synopsis- 20 January, 2012

The market ended the week, while maintaining its last few days rally on a positive note. The week and the day, both had started on a positive note but was seen loosing sheen in r=the mid-way, however the sudden spurt towards the end, helped the market to close on a positive note.  The two main Indian indices ended with decent gains. Though, the non-index counters closed mostly subdued. The midcap and the small-cap counters closed flat to positive.
