Market Synopsis, Market Heatmap: 12th December, 2012

Key indices ended weak today on growing investor concern that India's better-than-expected October industrial growth data (IIP grew 8.2% in October, after contracting 0.7% in September and 5.0% a year ago) may lead the Reserve Bank of India to defer the interest rate cut decision. Caution before the outcome of a two-day US Federal Reserve meet later today also led investors to be risk-averse. Today, National Stock Exchange's 50-scrip Nifty ended down 0.2% at 5888.00 after swinging between 5874.25 and 5924.60. BSE's 30-stock Sensex closed 0.2% lower at 19355.26 after trading between 19317.23 and 19478.79. The combined turnover in cash segments of the National Stock Exchange and BSE was 166.8 bln rupees versus Tuesday's 168.6 bln rupees. Technology, oil and gas, and automobile stocks gained while bank, power, metal, and capital goods stocks slipped.  Find out morehttp://www.facebook.com/bmawealth/app_206541889369118
