Market Heatmap, Market Synopsis: 11th October, 2012

The major Indian equity benchmarks recovered from intraday lows and finally succeeded in closing the day in green. This led the Sensex to close at the level of 18804.75 i.e., up by 173.65 points and the Nifty to close at the level of 5708.05 i.e., up by 55.9 points. The midcap & small-cap counters closed positive by over half a percentage point and one percentage point respectively. On the sectoral front, except for Healthcare index, all the other indices closed in green. Realty index closed as the major gainer with gains of four and a half percentage points.
