Closing Summary- Market Synopsis- 5 March, 2012

The benchmark indices, which started off trade on a weak note on back of negative global cues, registered their intraday high right at the opening bell. Thereafter, the bourses fell deeper in red and witnessed a range-bound session for most part of the day. The bourses continued to remain below the equator till the closing bell and closed with a loss of close to 1.5% points. Sensex closed at 17363 with a loss of 274 points while Nifty closed at 5280 with a loss of 79 points.
