Key benchmark indices rose for a third straight session on Tuesday as automakers such as Maruti surged after stronger monthly sales, while strong foreign buying also underpinned sentiment. Metal and mining stocks gained after the latest data showed China's manufacturing expanded in June at the fastest pace this year. Hindalco Industries jumped almost 7% after an upgrade in the stock's rating from a foreign brokerage.BSE Sensex provisionally closed 0.4 percent higher at 25,516.35 points, while the broader Nifty ended up 0.38 percent to 7,640.15 points.
