The major Indian equity benchmarks started the day on a cautious note. However, Barack Obama’s win over Mitt Romney for the US presidential elections has thrown a little positivity in the market. The Sensex is currently trading near the level of 18900 i.e., up by nearly 85 points & the Nifty is trading near the level of 5755 i.e., up by nearly 30 points. The midcap & small-cap counters are trading positive by over half a percentage point each. On the sectoral front, except for OIL&Gas index, all the other indices are trading in green. Realty index is leading the list of gainers with gains of over a percentage point. Further, the market breadth is positive as seven stocks are seen advancing for every three declines.
