The Indian markets opened on a flat note today. the Sensex was seen trading at 17614 with a gain of 12 points while Nifty was seen trading with a gain of 4 points at 5341. Sectorally, except Consumer Durables, Teck and Realty, all the other sectoral indices were seen trading in the green. Metal was the top gainer with over one and a half percent gains. The market breadth was slightly positive and six stocks were seen advancing against every five declines.
