Closing Summary- Market Synopsis- 8 June, 2012

It was a dull start and the Indian markets began the session with losses. However, towards the end of the trading session, the key indices zoomed up to enter the positive terrain and then closed near the day’s highs. Sensex closed the day at 16719 with a gain of 70 points while Nifty ended at 5068 gaining around 20 points. The sectoral picture was mostly green, with a few sectors closing with minor losses. Capital Goods and Realty were the major gainers with over one percent gains. The market breadth was flat and one stock was seen advancing against every single decline.
