The main Indian stock indices finally ended the day near the lows. The mid-cap counter closed with gains of over one percentage point and the small-cap counter closed with gains of over half a percentage point. On the sectoral front, except for Capital Goods, FMCG and Bank indices, all the other indices closed in green. Oil&Gas index closed as the major gainer of the day with gains of over two and a half percentage points, whereas, Capital Goods index closed as the major loser of the day with losses of over one and a half percentage points.
