Morning Summary- Market Synopsis- 5 January, 2012

Good Morning Everyone,
As anticipated, the Indian markets opened flat and then turned positive in early trades today. The Sensex was trading with gains of over 50 points while Nifty was seen trading with gains of around 12 points. In the global markets, the Wall Street erased early losses but still ended flat as renewed eurozone debt concerns offset healthy factory orders data. European markets too finished lower dragged down by financials. In Asia, markets were mixed, following flat trading on Wall Street as renewed worries over Europe's banking system weighed on investor sentiment. All the major sectoral indices, barring Realty, FMCG and Teck, were in the green with Auto, Capital Goods and Consumer Durables leading the upmove. Market breadth was strong and two stocks advanced against every single decline.
